Frozen chicken kievs come in two varieties: fully cooked and raw. If you’re using the fully cooked kievs, your cooking time will be shorter than if you’re using raw frozen kievs. We’ll explain the differences below.
How to Cook Frozen Chicken Kievs in an Air Fryer
- Preheat your air fryer to 360°F/ 180°C.
- Place the frozen chicken Kievs in the air fryer basket and arrange them so that they are not touching, so the hot air can reach all sides and cook the Kievs evenly.
- For pre-cooked frozen chicken Kievs, air fry at 360°F/ 180°C for 15-20 minutes. For raw frozen chicken Kievs, air fry at 360°F/ 180°C for 30-35 minutes.
- When cooking chicken Kievs in an air fryer, make sure the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F/ 74°C. Use an instant-read meat thermometer to check. If necessary, continue frying for 2-3-minute intervals until cooked through.
Serve and enjoy!
Cooking times for frozen chicken kievs will vary depending on what size and type of kievs you are cooking and the power of your air fryer.
The only way to know whether your food is fully cooked is to use a meat thermometer. Chicken needs to be cooked to an internal temperature of at least 165°F/74°C.
Chicken Kievs are a treat that everyone loves and the best part is that they cook up so quickly, you’ll be tempted to make them again before you’ve even finished your first batch and with an air fryer, it’s easy to do just that!
